Town & Country Meats Group has opened a new depot in Darlington following increased demand from customers across the North of England.

The Darlington site joins our existing depots in Wolverhampton (HQ), Taunton, Gatwick and Poole, taking our national network to five sites across the UK. For customers sourcing wholesale meat in Darlington and the surrounding North East, it means shorter lead times and a closer point of contact.

A £330,000 Investment to Support Growth

The opening of our Darlington depot has been supported by a £330,000 investment in our transport fleet. This year, we have added 11 new vehicles, including:

• 3 new trailers
• 2 artic units
• 6 rigid vehicles

The investment has supported improvements across our wider network. New trailers and tractor units have been introduced at Wolverhampton, older rigid vehicles have been replaced across other locations and additional vehicles have been allocated to support Darlington operations from day one.

Investing in Safer, More Reliable Deliveries

Alongside expanding our fleet, we continue to invest in vehicle safety and compliance.

All vehicles operating from our Gatwick depot will be fully Direct Vision Standard (DVS) compliant. Every vehicle across our fleet is also fitted with cameras and tracking technology, helping to support safer roads, better visibility and accountability across every delivery.
